Melbourne Finally Secure ‘El Zorro’
By: Marcus | May 14th, 2009Its Official Melbourne Have Signed Carlos Hernandez!!!

After a couple months of uncertainty, today it was finally made official that Carlos Hernandez has signed permanently for The Victory. Melbourne reportedly paid $500,000 to Costa Rican club LD Alajuelense to acquire the permanent services of Hernandez who today penned a three year deal which will see him through to 2011. This is great news for Melbourne and A-League fans alike as he is such a quality player, I’m just rapped we managed to snap him up before competition from China and MLS arrived.
‘El Zorro’ arrived in 2007 and took a while to establish himself, but after he settled he has proved to be a key team member, contributing 8 goals over 2 seasons along with his many assists, flair and creativity which makes him so enjoyable to watch.
I personally love Carlos because he not only has the skills, flair and the like, he is a team player, he doesn’t try and take on a whole team. It really make’s me happy when player’s say things like this as Carlos did “I’m looking forward to do my best for the club, not just myself.” It show’s how selfless he is. He will become a Legend of Melbourne in the coming years!
