Melbourne Sign Starvin Mavin
By: Marcus | September 22nd, 2009Well the deal is not 100% done yet, still subject to a medical, VISA and FFA approval but there’s tipped to be no troubles there.

Melbourne have reached an agreement with Costa Rican side Club Sport Herediano to loan attacking midfielder Marvin Angulo as an injury replacement player for Billy Celeski.
Angulo, who has made two international appearances for Costa Rica, was originally spotted by Merrick during a scouting trip to Costa Rica last year.
Marvin stands at 172 cm tall and only weighs 58 kg’s, far cry from his countrymen Carlos Hernandez who arrived as Carlos Hamburguez and he plays as an attacking midfield/second striker. He is due to arrive on October 1st.
From the clip looks like he has a real eye for goal, second last goal my pick of the goals.

58 kilograms in the a-league?
Seems a little light for a striker.
For some reason this reminds me of Patafta.I hope he can hold his own on the field.

I hope he does well, Patafta never got a chance and never really fit into Merricks game plan. The recruits so far look promising!
