Perth Is Cursed…
By: Marcus | September 2nd, 2009For Melbourne anyway, we have now lost 4 straight in Perth.

Perth Glory 2 (Jelic 4, 54)
Melbourne Victory 1 (Thompson 9)
ME Bank Stadium, Perth
I didn’t watch the whole game but i was happy with what I saw. I was very happy with the formation with the Fabiano starting, we had a 4-1-2-3. It worked well in the first half, we looked very dangerous, so it is defiantly a positive and we were unlucky not to get a point.
All 3 goals were very scrappy. Jelic scored the opener after some sloppy Melbourne defending. Sekulovski whipped in a free kick which found an unmarked Chris Coyne who headed it on the Sterjovski, who tapped it goal wards and Jelic pushed it over the line for a goal. The goal kicked Melbourne into gear and we dominated the rest of the first half, Archie finding the equalizer in the 9th minute. The boys broke on the counter, Danny played Archie in. Archie’s first shot was blocked by Sekulovski but he followed it up and tapped it in. We dominated much of the game but wasted many opportunities and we were made to pay in the 54th minute when Neville’s cross his Sterj, whose headed was punched away by Moss… straight to Jelic who scored his second and the decisive goal.
