Super Super Danny Is Gone!!!
By: Marcus | September 10th, 2009It always saddens me when a player leaves a club for money, I never thought it would happen to Melbourne at this point in time but it has…Farewell Danny!

Danny Allsopp has sign for Qatar club Al Rayyan for an undisclosed fee, but rumored to be $1 million over 2 years.
Allsopp started his career playing at South Melbourne in the old NSL, he moved around for a few years before moving to England where he had stints at clubs such as Manchester City, Hull City and his most successful period in European football was at Notts Country where he scored 50 goals in 111 appearances in all competitions for the club.
In 2005 Danny joined Melbourne and became an integral part of the side that won the league and Championship twice, scoring 35 goals from 85 appearances with 14 assists as well as his much needed aggression to lift the team in tough times. He won the A-League Golden Boot in 2006-07 and as a result of his hot form got 3 caps for the Australian National Team.
Love him or hate him Danny is great and will be missed.
